At 5,895 m, Kilimanjaro is the highest point in Africa. The snow-capped summit of the highest free standing mountain in the world rises high above the dusty plains of Africa. Spectacular views, huge glaciers and beautiful ice formations are your reward for your physical and mental endeavour.
The 6-day Machame Route is the most scenic and diverse route which also gives you the best chance of acclimatisation to get you to the top.
Although a challenging trek, Kilimanjaro is one of the most impressive mountains in the world and putting yourself to the test will be extremely worthwhile when you conquer the roof of Africa!

Day 1 London – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Day 2 Transfer to Moshi in northern Tanzania
Day 3 Machame Gate – Machame Camp, 9km – 6 hours – 2980m
Day 4 Machame Camp – Shira Hut, 7km – 6 hours – 3840m
Day 5 Shira Hut – Barranco Camp, 10km – 7 hours – 3950m
Day 6 Barranco Camp – Barafu Hut, 8km – 8 hours – 4600m
Day 7 Barafu Hut – Uhuru Peak (5896m) - Mweka Camp, 16 km – 14 hours – 3730m
Day 8 Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate, 13 km – 6 hours – 1800m
Day 9 Depart Moshi to fly home
Day 10 Arrive back in the UK

When do I have to pay my sponsorship money?
You will need to have achieved at least 50% of your sponsorship by 30th June 2018 with full balance due by 14th October 2018. (This does not include Gift Aid.) You will be contacted after this date if minimum sponsorship is not received.
