Frequently asked questions…

How big will the group be?

We operate small-group adventures and will normally have between 5 and 8 participants on this event.

What is the pace of the hike?

Ultimately the pace is set by the group to some degree. The advantage of the 3 peaks in 3 days is that we can take a more steady pace to enable everyone the best chance of achieving all 3 summits. Traditionally each mountain is between 5 and 8 hours.

How many guide are on each mountain?

We have 1 mountain leader for every 10 people. You may ask, what if someone needed to come down the mountain early? In our experience, the main reason for someone not to reach the peak is down to fitness level, and in most cases, they are happy to walk back at their own pace.

Where this is not possible our driver will normally come up to meet the individual and escort them down.

Where injuries are involved your mountain leader will decide for the group based on the information at the time.

To date we have never had a group unable to summit a mountain due to someone having to come down the mountain early.

Do I need to train for this event?

A reasonable level of fitness is required to complete the 3 peaks in 3 days. We will give individual advice to hikers based on their current level of fitness.

You will have a much more enjoyable time if you have a good level of fitness. Walking, running, swimming and of course hiking are all good ways of building up your cardiovascular fitness and will get you ready for this adventure.

Taking 3 days rather than the traditional 24 hours gives the best opportunity for everybody to complete this awesome event.
